Oral Histories

The Museum Library has a collection of more than 600 tape-recorded interviews with culturally significant Texans. The interviews showcase a variety of topics with emphasis on themes relating to local and regional history, significant individuals and events, and Texas folklife.

The majority of these oral histories are available to the public for review and research.

Most of the oral histories have been transcribed and are available at the Museum Library. Transcripts may be copied for $ .10 per page. Taped copies of the oral history may be purchased for $10 each.

Many of the oral histories are available online. Review a selection of transcribed oral histories.
