We offer a variety of engaging educator professional development opportunities and programs throughout the school year, and focus on providing you with quality resources and activities you can take back to your classroom.

Inquiry Based Learning Workshop for Mathematics

Inquiry Based Learning, or IBL for short, describes a broad range of empirically validated teaching methods which emphasize deeply engaging students and providing students with opportunities to learn authentically by collaborating with their peers. Defined broadly, IBL supports the use of a wide range of empirically validated teaching methods in mathematics courses to provide better instruction to students of all ages. (MORE)

  • Customized Workshops

    We are happy to customize a workshop utilizing the museum resources and exhibit floor for you school or district. To provide the best experience we ask for at least 3 weeks’ notice and fees may apply.

  • Saturday Workshops

    Morning workshops focusing on special topics or current temporary exhibits and how they may be used as a resource in the classroom. Materials and refreshments provided. Separate registration for each session is required. Attending educators are awarded CPE credits. STAY TUNED FOR OUR SPRING SCHEDULE.

  • Summer Institute For Educators

    A week-long professional development conference focusing on a special topic. Open to educators of all grade levels and subject areas, this thematic workshop provides an intensive look into a specific area of study while providing attendees the opportunity to network and gain access to related resources. Attending educators are awarded CPE credits.
